Serie A leaders Juventus have signed Venezuela captain Tomas Rincon from Genoa on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
Rincon, 28, who can play as a defensive midfielder or a right-back, moves for a fee of 8m euros, although the fee could rise by another 1m euros.
The former Hamburg player becomes the first Venezuelan to play for Juventus.
"These days have been like a dream that has become reality. I never had any doubts when the opportunity arose to join Juventus," he said.
The transfer of Tomas Rincon from Genoa to Juventus sees the arrival of a truly talented and experienced midfielder.

He has recorded 81 appearances for the Rossblù in the last two-and-a-half years and won more tackles (140) and made more assists (14) than any other Genoa player in the same period and, as a result, arrives at Juventus Stadium with a reputation as one of Serie A’s most consistently effective central midfielders. Operating at the base of a three-man midfield, Rincon has outperformed his peers across the board so far this term, making 103 recoveries, 19 interceptions, 680 successful passes while creating 19 scoring chances - statistics which are significantly higher than the average for his position (source: juventus.com).
All of the above points to a player that is capable not only of breaking up play and providing added midfield muscle to the Bianconeri's repertoire, but also of breaking forward and laying on opportunities for his more attack-minded team-mates.
He might not be the best asset for your fantasy team, since his duties are more defensive, however he could be a much needed reinforcement for Juve's midfield, which still misses Paul Pogba who left for Man Utd for a record transfer fee in the summer. Rincon will probably provide cover for the injure prone Claudio Marchisio and Sami Khedira at first, but could prove himself and become a regular starter soon.
