SCOUT REPORT: Gabriel Jesus (Man City)

Brazilian youngster Gabriel Jesus signed for Manchester City this January, arriving from Palmeiras (BRA). City signed him for a reported fee of 32 million EUR, until 2021.

At the age of 19, the attacker is already an international player for Brazil, he has won an olympic gold medal in Rio, and has a league and cup title in Brazil. The striker shows great potential and has already registered 5 goals in 6 appearances for Brazil.

Speaking to the clubs official website, Gabriel Jesus was especially keen on working with Pep Guardiola: “Manchester City is one of the best clubs in the world so I’m really pleased to sign. We have many great talents in the team and a fantastic manager in Pep Guardiola that I can learn so much from. I’m looking forward to showing the City fans what I can do and I think we’ll have a great future together.”

The Brazilian is rated as one of the hottest young talents, however he will face strong competition to break into City's starting 11. It is difficult to imagine he can beat Sergio Aguero to the central striker role, although he is also capable of playing as a winger or a playmaker in the Nr. 10 position.

We suggest you keep an eye on his first couple of appearances and then decide if he is a viable option for a differential in your fantasy team. He could be a fantastic signing!
